VERSA Biomedical, before Specipig, is a pioneer Breeding and  Biomedical Research Centre focused on the pig model. We breed miniature  pigs and run in-vivo pig model preclinical studies for: - Medical  device, tissue regeneration and new materials development: prototype,  efficacy, biocompatibility, product knowledge, development and  scientific evidence studies to attract investment and to develop the  product. - Pharma preclinical development: efficacy, toxicology,  pharmacokinetic, tolerance and proof of concept studies. We are GLP  certified, have fully equipped surgery rooms and housing. Are experts on  the pig model and we run stress management trainings with the animals  to improve their welfare. We are at present working on the development  on an Onco-pig model for use in preclinical studies.  

● Versa Biomedical draws on Specipig's 13 years of experience  as a preclinical CRO dedicated to designing flexible and personalized  biomedical models. Thanks to this expertise, it will continue to offer innovative solutions to biomedical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies.

● On its part, Specipig will focus on all activities related to the breeding and marketing of its own genetic line of miniature pigs, offering its services to other CROs.

● The goal of this strategic split is to enhance and reinforce the specialization of both companies,  in order to provide a better service tailored to the specific needs of  their clients.
